Viriginia Wade is a tennis champion who has garnered an impressive number of titles in her career: 3 Grand Slam singles titles, 55 singles titles on the WTA tour, and 4 Grand Slam doubles titles. She was inducted in the Inducted into the International Hall of Fame in 1989, was the first woman elected to the Wimbledon Committee in 1982, and was awarded the Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1986.
